If you are searching for a Blade & Sorcery Nomad promo code, use VRCGUY. Warpfrog’s physics brawler is £22.99 on the Meta Horizon Store at the time of writing. On a full-priced copy, VRCGUY should knock 10% off at checkout.
That is the short version. The longer version is whether you actually want a violent medieval sandbox that expects you to swing like you mean it.
What Blade & Sorcery: Nomad actually plays like
Forget the floaty Quest sword games where a longsword weighs as much as a breadstick. Nomad is built so blades have weight, bodies flop, and a clean hit is not the same as a tap.
You fight with melee, bows and magic. Enemies have full-body physics. Swords can bite into soft stuff or bat a spell away if you time it. The store line about “the era of wiggle-sword combat” being over is marketing, but it is also the point of the game.
There are two ways in. Sandbox is the toy box: pick a map, spawn what you want, make a mess. Crystal Hunt is the structured path added when Nomad left early access on 28 October 2024. You start underpowered, unlock skills, scrape through dungeons and chase an actual finish. Later free drops — Rakta, Sentara, then Khar-Tib in 2026 — piled on factions, maps and kit without charging again.
It is single-player. Standing or room-scale. Comfort rating is Moderate, which is a polite way of saying you will be turning and lunging. No internet required once it is installed. About 6.11 GB. Listed for Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest 2 and Quest Pro. Age rating is Mature 17+ for violence, blood and gore. If that is a problem in your house, stop here.
Features worth knowing before you pay
Physics combat is the whole pitch. Fine hitboxes, weighted objects, bodies that do not pop like balloons unless you make them. You choose the weapon and the stance. Warrior, ranger or sorcerer is a playstyle, not a locked class screen.
Crystal Hunt gives Nomad a spine. Skills, loot, dungeons, an ending. It is still not an open-world RPG with a map full of icons. Think dungeon runs and getting stronger, then going back to sandbox when you want chaos.
The Byeth updates are free. Rakta brought East Asian-inspired kit, including official katanas. Sentara added a maritime map, buoyancy in water and a sailor-pirate faction. Khar-Tib is update 1.3, live as version 1.3.1 on the store. You are not buying a 2021 early-access build.
Mods are a huge part of why people stay. They can also brick a session if they go stale. Owner reviews say the same thing on loop: if the game will not launch, check outdated mods before you write Warpfrog a novel. Official multiplayer is not in the listing. Do not buy Nomad for co-op.
Store rating: 4.3 from about 64,000 ratings. That is a lot of keepers and a visible pile of 1-star noise, some of it headset or mod drama rather than “the swords feel bad”.
Who it is for (and who should skip it)
Buy it if you want to feel a swing connect. Buy it if sandbox violence is the feature, not a side mode. Buy it if you have already watched ten minutes of Nomad footage and thought “right, I need that in the living room”.
Skip it if you want a story-first adventure with companions and cutscenes. Skip it if your Guardian is the size of a yoga mat. Skip it if gore makes you wince. Skip it if you only play sitting down with teleport and a tiny turn snap. Moderate comfort is not a warning for nothing.
Clear the coffee table. You will throw an arm through it otherwise.

Does VRCGUY work during a Meta sale?
Usually not. Creator codes rarely stack with platform discounts. Try it, then look at the final total.
Is Nomad the same as PC Blade & Sorcery?

Not as an official store feature. Single user only on the listing.
Which headsets can play it?
Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest Pro and Quest 2.
