Empire City is the first TMNT game that puts you inside the shell. Leonardo’s twin katanas, Raphael’s sai, Donatello’s bo and Michelangelo’s nunchaku are built as two-handed VR weapons, not costume props. Parkour, stealth and street fights share the same city after Shredder’s fall, when the Foot tries to take the vacuum.
You can run the campaign alone or drop in with friends. The tone stays closer to the cartoon’s loyalty and pizza-break humour than a grim reboot, which is the right call when you can actually bump shells in co-op.
Cortopia’s combat language will feel familiar if you played their earlier physics fighters, but the licence gives it a skyline and a lair worth hanging around in. Family is the pitch. The weapons are why it works in a headset.
