You fight with the Autobots against Decepticon set pieces rather than roaming an open Cybertron. The pleasure is target acquisition, set-piece scale, and the novelty of standing inside a Transformers cartoon that keeps moving whether you are ready or not.
It is not trying to be a systems-heavy action game. Treat it as an arcade cabinet with a licence: short sessions, big robots, no inventory screen. A fine palate cleanser between the longer campaigns in this directory.
